Study on neutronics modeling with 22.5° model using ANSYS for CFETR

The detailed China Fusion Engineering Test Reactor (CFETR) 22.5° computer aided design (CAD) model is very difficult to convert into Monte Carlo N Particle Transport Code (MCNP). Manually writing MCNP input data complicated, which not only time-consuming but also cannot guarantee accuracy. Therefore, in order improve the efficiency and accuracy of transformation, modeling with CAD using CATIA introduced, files are converted by ANSYS. This because ANSYS has a function that converts “stp” format geometry section. Meanwhile, can reverse file inspect module problem. Compared software platform automatically cut, although CATIA-to-ANSYS method inferior terms automatic operation, it advantages quickly dealing error modules. Moreover, perform parametric CATIA, facilitates optimization blanket structure. In this paper, CFETR was developed, then based on performed. Finally, neutronics obtained transformation inspection. Some representative models were initially validated comparing volume changes before after conversion. Then, final used calculate nuclear analyses, including neutron wall loading, fast flux, heating inboard side. results show transformed basically consistent original model, small.
